Woodie passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, July 1, 2024.
On 5/10/2006, Woodie married a beautiful and exciting lady named Sabrina.
Woodie was vice president of investments with a major Wall Street wire house. He has two daughters: Lisa and Whitney. He also has two grandchildren: Bobby Lee and Lindsey.
Sabrina and I got together on Wednesday, April 12, 2006. On that first day, I told her that I loved her. Four days later, Easter Sunday, I proposed, the first of many times. After she said “Yes”, we married on Wednesday, May 10, 2006, just twenty-eight days after we met. I think she thought this was going to be temporary and short-lived! Little did she know how much I loved her. That was almost twelve and a half years ago. Too few, but I am thankful for every single day. Think of the time we saved by skipping ‘getting to know each other’, like other people!
Sabrina's introduction to Summerlin Class of '63 was the 50th Reunion. One of the hardest things a spouse can do is to attend their mate's high school reunion, and when there is a seventeen year age difference, it doesn't get any better.
But being the very loving and giving wife and partner that she was, Sabrina agreed to attend with bells and smiles. Pam Davis said that when Sabrina walked into the reunion, it was immediately, "Whose arm candy is this? But then we got to know her". Sabrina had the time of her life with our class and it was me who was sort of left out. Ben Girtman telling me to " just move along, nothing to see". From that evening on, Sabrina wanted to never miss a reunion of "her class", the one that adopted her and vice versa.
The picture of us on the coin was taken the night of our Summerlin '63 50th Reunion, a time she never forgot.
My classmates gave a gift of love and acceptance to my Beautiful Sabrina that I can never find words to express my appreciation.
