Wanda Paulette Willis, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2021 in Oxford, MS. Interment was at Hopewell Cemetery. Bro.
Ms. Willis was born in Anderson, Indiana to Harry Alonzo and Wanda Lucile Willis on May 7, 1945. After living and working in both Florida and Tennessee she retired after a career in Human Resources and had lived in North Mississippi for the past 9 years. Ms. Willis met many people along her journey, each becoming like family to her.
Ms. Willis was a loving, caring, compassionate, spiritual woman who will be deeply missed by her family. Her love for her son and her grandson was evidenced by special lunches and family nights with them. She loved to crochet, sew, listen to gospel music, and work crosswords.
She loved everyone and served as a surrogate Mom to many. Others were comforted by her strong faith and her love for people.
Ms. Willis will be lovingly forever remembered and missed by her son, Mark (Elizabeth) Brown and her grandson, Jayce Brown. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Tuttle.
Ms. Willis was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Wanda Willis; and a brother, Larry Gene Willis.
