William "Billy" Henry Martin III, 77, passed away February 6, 2023, surrounded by his family. A native of Bartow, he was born May 5, 1945. He made his career at CF Industries and was a member at First Christian Church in Bartow. Billy enjoyed spending time with his wife in Biloxi, listening to George Jones, watching Florida State football and taking care of his great-grandsons. His sons have fond memories with their dad camping, hunting and fishing at the Ocala National Forest and Ft. Desoto Park. These traditions were carried on by Papa with his grandchildren, visiting many Florida State Parks. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Martin Jr. and Virginia Russ McKereghan. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Bonnie. He is also survived by three sons; Ricky (Missy) Martin, Michael (Stella) Martin, David (Cheryl) Martin, seven grandchildren; Erin (David) Merritt, RJ Martin, Ali (Dylan) Johnson, Austin (Devin) Martin, Matthew (Ashley) Martin, Blake (Olivia) Martin, Cassie (Dustin) Martin, four great-grandsons; Brantlee, Mason, Kayden and Hudson, two sisters; Diane (Herman) Acorn and Cheryl (David) Murphy, and many nieces and nephews.
