Jimmie, age 72, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence in Bartow. Born July 8, 1944 in Winter Haven, Jimmie was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a Systems Engineer for a telecommunications company for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Marcia H. Helms, Bartow; two sons: Tim J. Helms, Batow & Kevin A. Helms (Heather) of Holly Springs, NC; a daughter: Heidi Kangas (Luke), Bartow; a granddaughter: Dovie Kangas, Bartow and a grandson:Ethan Helms of Holly Springs, NC.
