TALKINGTON, Robert Lee, Sr. ("Bobby")

update - 2022
Robert Lee Talkington Sr. was born September 29, 1945 in Fairmont WV, the youngest of 10 children. He was the last of his generation. Robert and his family moved to Florida when he was 5 years old and he would spend the rest of his life as a Florida boy. While he was at times quite mischievous, he was always an incredibly affectionate and loving person. Quick to make friends, he never met a stranger. He passed, in his home on December 8, 2022 with his family gathered around him. He is survived by his wife of 36 years (Robin) his sons Robert "Lee" and Justin and his daughter Kelly. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

Bob's last update - 2018

I have three wonderful children, Robert L. Jr. (Lee) (20), Justin (14) and Kelly (13). My children are my life, and keep me going. Lee ( 6'2",245 lbs. and possessing my great looks) is a student at USF and expressing a desire to be a chef. Justin is in the 8th grade and enjoys scouting and band (saxophone) Justin is in the gifted and honors program at school and has gotten me involved in scouting with him. Kelly is another story. She is in the 7th grade and is very talented musically (voice and flute). She never stops talking and singing and promises to take care of me in my 'Old Age' when she becomes famous! My lovely wife Robin is my best friend, soul mate and mentor. She is a human dynamo and has worked her way up to a management position with Winn Dixie. Her passion is people with problems. (I guess that's what attracted her to me!!!!) Robin works through our church with several shelters dealing with unwed women about to lose their children and young girls about to re-enter society. Her 'Free' time is divided between the church women's guild, a circle investment club, teaching a church class and taking care of the kids and me! My mother, now 92, lives with us. Traveling is something I most want to do and someday hope to see more of the good old USA and then the world. My early days afforded me an opportunity to see a lot of places, most in this country as well as Mexico and Canada. We recently spent 3 weeks in Japan and Australia, but I want to see it ALL! It's been a hoot seeing the Gang of 63 again, but WOW, so many are gone. Let me hear from you guys!
